This was our 5th year staying at this stunning guest house, and describing it as perfection can't justify the ideal home away from home offered at Aquavit. From the stunning views of the garden, lagoon and sea to the delicious breakfast offered each morning. The staff and service are truly first class. We stayed in room 2 which had jaw-dropping views and direct access to the quiet poolside and lounge area. The spacious and comfortable room cannot be compared. Linda, Ole and the entire staff's effort for everything was exemplary. The two golden retrievers, Zoe and Dakota, gave a sense of relaxation and happiness to our already perfect stay. Thank you for such an impeccable holiday and looking forward to next year!

TravelGround Awesome place, everything you need. My wife and I spent 4 nights in one of the superior suites. Everything was better than expected, the hospitality and friendliness of the hosts, the quality of the establishment including large bathrooms, the amazing breakfast and the communal space and large pool. Highly recommended. -

Vera On behalf of our party I would like to stay how much we enjoyed our stay at your wonderful guest house. Our rooms were great – you have a lovely house with the most spectacular views over Plettenburg Bay. We felt very spoilt – nothing was too much trouble – and your help with booking meals and taxis was much appreciated. Your breakfasts were the best we experienced whilst staying in SA.
I also appreciate the trouble you went to in contacting us when I left some items of clothing and shoes in our room. Unfortunately, they did not reach me before we left SA but I appreciate your help.
Hope this finds you both well and apologies for not writing sooner. Dave has forwarded email correspondence he’s had with you both and thank you Linda for the Olive Cake recipe – I’ll give it a go! I recently tried out the Sesame Lavosh recipe which you may remember I scribbled out during our stay – they’ve turned out well I think (see attached photo) - I remembered your top tip for rolling out the dough as thin as possible!
It’s hard to believe that we’ve been home over 6 weeks now, somehow you just get swept back into your day to day life. For John and I that has also involved a mammoth turn out of ‘stuff’ ahead of a building project. At least our weather is brightening up into what, fingers crossed, may turn out to be a decent summer!
John and I can only echo what Dave has already said about our visit and your hospitality, but I also wanted to just add our personal thanks to you both, to Innocent and Zama and not forgetting Zowie and Cody either, for a very special stay. It felt so relaxing at a time when our dear friend Lorraine was still very much in our hearts and minds – especially for Steve of course – and your kind hospitality played such a part. Particularly on that last morning, when you had already told us about the beautiful St Peters Anglican Church and sorted flowers for Steve, not to mention yet another lovely breakfast which awaited us on our return. Being honest, I wasn’t sure how we were going to be able to remember Lorraine that day in a way that felt appropriate for the first anniversary of her passing. As you know we were on a time restraint with having to return the vehicles at Port Elizabeth etc, so your help and guidance was very much appreciated – in fact we couldn’t have done that without you both, so thank you.
John and certainly intend to visit South Africa again, hopefully sooner, rather than later. I’ve attached just one of my favourite photos (and there we’re quite a few). You’ll recognise it as being taken from Aquavit’s balcony one morning. I was having a ‘moment to myself with a cuppa’ and was lifted by such a beautiful view, it felt special, which is just what the Aquavit is.
