GENERAL INFO
Our home is situated on an elevated residential area. The visual focus of the house is the sea and mountains and a virtually uninterrupted sweep of glass which celebrates the inspirational ocean views. The decor is contemporary modern with a mixture of antiques and the overall effect is exquisitely calm and uplifting, with crisp sea air drifting in through wooden shutters. Each of the five smoke free ensuite guest rooms are well appointed with king, queen and twin bed sleeping accommodations and are individually decorated in soft warm earthy tones of stone, creams and crisp whites. Personal attention to detail is noted with a subtle yet distinctive African spirit.
The open-plan lounge and dining room maximizes views. The stone, stainless and natural fibers are artfully blended to create a relaxing atmosphere.
Aquavit has an amazing breakfast offered each morning on the terrace, and at times with specialty menu items. A generous spread of fruit, yogurts, cereals and delicious baked goods precedes a choice of hot breakfasts, including perfectly poached eggs! Please note that breakfast is a complimentary service and offered to all our guests, however, it does not reflect the rate of the room!
Smoking Policy
Our guest rooms face the sea and breezes are common a good portion of the time. Our terraces are an extension of our rooms, and although Aquavit is a smoke free environment and smoking is prohibited in these areas, with respect for all guests, a designated area is provided in the front of the guesthouse.Age Restriction
Children over the age of 12 are welcome.Public areas
After a rejuvenating sleep in your luxury accommodations, and a beautiful breakfast, you may want to set out and explore. Plett has four beautiful sandy beaches. Robberg Beach on the southern end of the bay seems to go on for ever and is a great place to go for long walks away from the crowds. Hobie Beach is superb for both swimming and tanning and also has some good waves for surfing or body boarding at 'the wedge' on the far end. The third beach is known locally as Lookout Beach which is the location of a favorite spot in Plett - Although Look Out Beach had disappeared, it has miraculously re-appeared and has become a favorite of residents. Central Beach is a favorite of the younger crowds with easy access to bars and restaurants. Several months of the year you can view those magnificent Southern Right whales where they come to Plett and surrounding areas to mate and just frolic eventually leaving with their young. A favorite place of ours is "Bramon Wine Farm", our local vineyard and Newstead Wine Farm where you may enjoy homemade "tapas" while sipping some fantastic "bubbly" or their renowned Sauvignon Blanc.Additional Services Provided
