Aquavit is a newly architecturally designed guest house. The use of glass, stainless steel and stone throughout gives one the feeling of open living. Each guest room has either a semi private balcony or poolside patio with panoramic views of the mountains, lagoon and sea. Luxury Room One Our luxury room 1 is also our honeymoon suite. This gorgeous room boasts a king iron canopy bed with pure cotton percale duvet and luxurious sheeting. The Select Comfort mattress will allow you to adjust your comfort preference with your own remote control on either side. Oversized closets in the dressing room provides for plenty of space. The bath area has double basins and separate shower including a large bath tub to enjoy the fine amenities for soothing away stress. Your patio has an area to relax on sun loungers and within steps of the 10-meter infinity pool and lovely garden, while gazing at the sea and mountains. A brandy with chocolates and orchids are at your bedside. Guestroom Two Guestroom 2 offers two single twin beds which can be converted to a king bed of your preference. This spacious guestroom has a dressing area and a bathroom with a shower. With the rays of the sun shining through the shutters, this room offers a genuine feel of Africa. The bedroom doors open to the poolside patio and garden. Guestroom Three Guestroom 3 has a queen iron bed with soft sea glass colors to help you relax while sleeping on your Select Comfort mattress. This charming guest room offers a full bath and separate shower with a spacious dressing area. Your room comes alive with the warmth of the local children from the township photographed on canvas to give you a feeling of a small town in Africa. The bedroom doors open to the poolside patio and garden. Guestroom Four Guestroom 4 has a lovely canopy bed enveloped with fabric to relax you to sleep on your Select Comfort mattress which allows both partners to adjust comfort control. The bathroom is tiled with stone and mosaic marble tile with a large glass enclosed shower. This room, though not as large as the pool side rooms, steps out to the breakfast terrace and is located on the entrance level overlooking the pool. Guestroom Five Guestroom 5 has a queen iron bed with a spacious walk in shower. Small windows and family paintings give a feeling of warmth and solitude. The view of the sea and mountains can be enjoyed from the comfort of your bed! Although this room is not as large as the pool side rooms, there is a private sitting area on the terrace to relax and enjoy a good book. General Information Each of the five smoke free en suite guestrooms are individually decorated in soft warm earthy tones of stone, creams and crisp whites with personal attention to detail and with a subtle yet distinctive African spirit. The visual focus of the house is the sea and a virtually uninterrupted sweep of glass which celebrates the inspirational ocean panorama. The decor is contemporary modern with a mixture of antiques and the overall effect is exquisitely calm and uplifting, with crisp sea air drifting in through wooden shutters. The five suites are gorgeously light and spacious with muted colors keeping the whole effect calm and serene while enhancing magnificent views over the Indian Ocean. The open-plan lounge and dining room maximizes views and the stone, stainless and natural fibers, are artfully blended to create a relaxing atmosphere. Guestrooms feature:
Ease gently into the day with a generous, scrumptious gourmet breakfast served on the terrace with its spectacular views before setting off to explore the many surrounding attractions or relax around the pool soaking up the sun. Attention to detail is important to us, so your breakfast will taste as good as it looks - a perfect start to your day! For dinner there are plenty of great top class restaurants in Plettenberg Bay and only happy to organize for you. Smoking Policy: Our guestrooms face the sea and breezes are common a good portion of the time. Our terraces are an extension of our rooms, and although Aquavit is a smoke free environment and smoking is prohibited in these areas, with respect for all guests, a designated area is provided in the front of the guesthouse.
